Tom: Yeah, a lot of people have commented on the Voldemort/Draco moment. It was special… It was special. He has a firm grip. It was pretty terrifying. It wasn’t in the script and we did that take about 25 times, he only hugged me once. It was a one-off thing that he just threw at me. I’m standing there going, “What the hell is he doing? Why is he hugging me in this weird fashion!” It’s pretty terrifying stuff - He held it for about ten seconds and I thought, “Is this going to end?” I was baffled and even more baffling was that that was the take they used!

Hi! I’ve been watching Doctor Who since I was around 5. That was in 1995/1996. A full decade before it was rebooted with Christopher Ecclestone.

Is it bad that I feel a little angry at the people who declare Tennant or Smith the best Doctors ever… without ever having seen anyone else? It feels a bit insulting to me, that the Doctors I grew up watching (mostly Baker and Davison) and love the show because, are ignored because they’re ‘old’.

People keep promising they’ll watch the old series, but they won’t. Please stop trying to appease me like this.

I guarantee if I started watching one of your beloved series, such as Firefly or Breaking Bad, and I only ever started watching from this very episode, and I based my entire viewpoint of the show, it’s story, the characters, EVERYTHING, from this point onwards, you would tell me to go back and watch the start of it, because I’m making incorrect assumptions and judgements. Because I’m only judging from the very newest stuff. Is this not the same situation?

When people declared “OMG THE FIRST DOCTOR WHO PIRATE EPISODE” earlier on this series on Twitter, I wanted to reach the computer and slap them. Because Doctor Who has had plenty of pirate episodes… it’s just people are only making assumptions, judgements and viewpoints based on the newest stuff.

I’m sorry, but I’m a fan of the WHOLE Doctor Who story, not just the last 5 years. You’re missing out on 50 years, people. Please, if you’re so against watching the classic series for whatever reason, don’t make ignorant comments like “the first pirate episode”. It’s insulting.

Also, Tennant and Smith are only contenders for the 2nd best Doctor. Tom Baker is and always will be THE best Doctor ever. Full stop.
